I am changing the scope of my blog. Since I started this blog, two of my four children have been diagnosed with ADHD, and my youngest is showing early signs of having it. This has really changed my perspective on how education and nutrition. Up until this point, I have been bombarding my Facebook page with my research and experiences with ADHD. I have a very academic leaning in my approach. I have decided that I need a different platform.
I am in the process of writing a book about ADHD and how to live with it. I am the non-ADHD parent, so my view is certainly that of an outsider looking in, but I am very close to ADHD, and I am also very opinionated about it. Hopefully this blog will be a better outlet than Facebook.
My purpose with this blog is to inform others about ADHD in ways that can connect to every day people. Many of my favorite researchers write in ways that are not accessible to the everyday American. I hope to write in a way that their research can reach everyone.
I joke that my family is my own scientific experiment. I have a certain regimen of vitamins. We have also discovered that one, maybe two of my children is probably a celiac. I really believe that this is not a coincidence. I believe it is all connected, but I haven’t totally figured out everything yet.
Please feel free to join my conversation. I welcome suggestions for reading!
